Master the Mini-Games I

Use this guide to learn more about some of the new mini-games found in Mario Party 3.

Dorrie Dip (Item Mini-Game)

Whenever a player lands on a Toad space, he or she gets to play a special mini-game to try to earn an item for free. In this case, the player gets to control good ol' Dorrie ? the massive lake monster from Super Mario 64! After pounding on Dorrie's back, the gentle beast will reach down and pick up an item. Try not to land on Baby Bowser!

Ice Rink Risk (4-Player Game)

It's every plumber for himself in this slippery mini-game. Four players are trapped in an ice rink, with an ever-increasing number of spiked Spiny Shells bouncing all over the place. The player who's good enough to survive for 30 seconds is rewarded

Pump, Pump and Away (2 vs. 2)

In the Mushroom Kingdom's equivalent to the space program, two players work together to power up a high-flying rocket ship. By alternately pressing the A and Buttons with perfect timing, the rockets are pumped up until time runs out. After that, you get to sit back and watch as each vessel cruises skyward. The team's rocket which flies highest wins the space race.

Vine With Me (Duel)
In the final five turns of the game, if you land on the same space as another character you'll find yourself in a Duel. In this game, it's a race from one end of the jungle to the other by speeding through a gauntlet of swinging vines

Game Boards I

Mario Party 3 features an all-new set of interactive game boards, each more challenging than the next. Here are a few examples of the new boards you can look forward to exploring.

Deep Bloober Sea
To earn Stars in the Deep Bloober Sea board, you'll have to avoid a giant vacuum cleaner which can suck you up and blow you off course if you stroll too near. An equally massive Bloober is waiting to move you off course if you land on a "?" space. The difficulty rating of this board is one star.

Spiny Desert
There are actually two versions of this game board: day and night. If you fall into a sandy sink hole, you'll find yourself warping from one version to the next. This twisted feature has earned the Spiny Desert board a difficulty rating of two stars

Game Boards II
Mario Party 3 features an all-new set of interactive game boards, each more challenging than the next. Here are a few examples of the new boards you can look forward to exploring.

Woody Woods
Don't let the flowery flora and cuddly creatures fool you: Woody Woods is a seriously challenging game board with a difficulty rating of two stars.

Creepy Cavern
As you can tell by its name, this game board has been designed to keep players frightened and Star-less. From giant Whomps blocking your path to runaway mine carts knocking you off course, it's no surprise that this board has earned a difficulty rating of three stars
