This years E3 video game show will be running from the 13th to 15th of June in Los Angeles. Highlights for Mario fans will include:-

The first-ever oppurtunity to experience the upcoming Switch title; Super Mario Odyssey. This is the first fully immersive sandbox style title where Mario can explore his entire world since Super Mario Sunshine on the GCN and of course Super Mario 64 before that. The first handful of people will get to play the game at the Nintendo booth of E3 2017.

OK well thats pretty much the highlights for Mario fans that have been revealed so far.

Other stuff Nintendo will be doing includes hosting game tournaments - one of which will be the 2017 Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational which will see four pre-qualified Splatoon 2 teams from Europe, Japan, Aus/NZ and the U.S battling it out on the Nintendo Switch, June 13th. The following day will be an open invitational tournament for ARMS on Nintendo Switch which does actually look pretty cool; a fighting game where you choose a champion and attach different types of extending errr... arms.

I guess it's not out of the question that there will be some competitive MK8 Deluxe play too. They're probably just not shouting about it as news because it's already been done before in MK8. For those of us that aren't going to be at E3 this year Nintendo will be kicking off the event with an online presentation on Tuesday 13th of June so look out for that.

We'll also see the return of the Nintendo Treehouse Live streaming event giving us a showcase of games to look out for on the Nintendo Switch and 3DS systems this year whilst their will also be a constant livestream of game footage straight from the E3 Floor on the Nintendo Twitch Channels.

I'll let you know once more info is revealed and in the meantime check out these cool screenshots of Mario exploring his new worlds in Super Mario Odyssey.

And the Switch presentation trailer for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
