Hey all,

Sorry its been a while since we've had an update. Myself and the rest of the team are working on renovating well... the entire site basically. And we are about 75% of the way through now. Any good writers who think you can help please drop me a mail. Also we are looking for a new forum manager - anyone who thinks they can make our forum into a hive of activity, please get in touch.

All of our official art galleries which have been broken for an eternity are now fixed and contain high res versions of everything. And our every game page in the Gameboy and Gameboy colour pages has been completely redone with loads of new info and videos featuring the plumbing elite that are Mario and Luigi.

We'll be back on top of bringing you the latest and greatest from the Marioverse as soon as possible (and I have loads of weird obscure Mario stuff I'd like to share when we get time too)

Don't forget to follow us on our social sites too.

Big thanks to our 13,935 followers to date. Promise we'll be active again soon in the mean time, a cool image I found on IMGUR highlighting the double standards of what makes you a hero and what makes you a villain in Nintendo world - good point bro!

Luigi custom Gameboy Advance from 8 Bit Evolution

Today I have a really nice custom Luigi edition Gameboy Advance from 8 Bit Evolution to show you guys.

I ordered this a while back but only now got around to posting about it, so one Saturday the postman rudely awoke me from my slumber with a signed for item from the U.S, I opened it up and there it was a little box branded 8bit Evolution with a Gameboy Advance inside, my postman rage quickly dissipated and I inspected the little box further, reading the back of the box:

You are holding one of 8 Bit Evolution's professionally redesigned Gameboy Advance Consoles. Relive your childhood memories with a back-lit, graphically superior LCD screen.

The system is fully refurbished: Custom colors, new buttons, new shells, new life!

It may have seemed a little quiet around here lately, but don't worry we'll be bringing you some fresh Mario and Luigi real soon. There is some major renovation work going on in the background with our man Benni fixing all of our official art galleries which have been pretty much down since we switched plugins.

Meantime I'm working my way through anything that might be broken - and I'm pleased to let you know that all of our Nintendo 3DS and Wii U reviews are now looking pretty, we've also introduced a proper scoring system which all reviews are being converted to confirm to - check out our reviews section for more.

Also, we're a Mario series fan site, yes... but are we going to say every Mario game is 10 out of 10 with no room for improvement? No, we want multidimensional opinions on all Super Mario Games, some of our reviewers rate some games extremely low, whilst others might have enjoyed a game more... we have more respect for the Mario community than to serve up a bunch of 10 out of 10 "buy it buy it buy it" reviews, see for yourself - we have over 180 user contributed reviews here right now and we'd love more - especially for the Wii U and 3DS, want to write for us? Get in touch on luke@classic-mario.net

So stay tuned and we'll be back with you soon for the latest Mario news as well as servings of LOTS of rare, unheard of and obscure Mario titles, we have more planned than we have the hands to type it with.

We've got a cool video to share with you today courtesy of Mashed on YouTube. Do you love Mario Kart or gritty grindhouse movies? If so, you're in luck!

Spikenado by Sam Green Media (maker of the the super popular Epic MineQuest series) is the latest clip on #mashed. It's got Action! Romance! Suspense! BLUE SHELLS! It’s Mario Kart as you’ve never seen it before
