Having shown off a host of new and upcoming titles like Mario Kart 8 at E3, Nintendo has now announced a tour of the UK that shows off the best of its existing catalogue on Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL.

Both the Wii U Den tour and Nintendo 3DS Festival of Fun will take in a series of outdoor, family-friendly venues across Britain and will encourage visitors to test out Nintendo’s handheld and home console offerings. This will include racing games like Mario Kart 7 on Nintendo 3DS and platform games that up to five people can take part in, like New Super Mario Bros. U on Wii U.

In addition to the wealth of Super Mario games that will be on display, Nintendo is also giving people the chance to try some of the slightly lesser-known titles in its canon. This means the Wii U Den tour will also include the fantastic LEGO CITY Undercover, Nintendo Land and a special preview of some other games due to hit stores later in the year.

Those visiting the Nintendo 3DS Festival of Fun will get to play Mario Kart 7, as well as the handheld entries in the LEGO franchise LEGO CITY Undercover: The Chase Begins and LEGO Legends of Chima: Laval’s Journey. As if that wasn’t enough, there will be stands hosting games like Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, as well as the awesome Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. Nintendo has promised there will be loads of competition prizes and has encouraged Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL owners to bring along their consoles to play with and StreetPass others.

The Wii U Den tour will come to Sunderland Air Show on July 27th and 28th, before moving on to Bristol Balloon Fiesta between August 8th and 11th and Eastbourne Airborne between August 15th and 18th. The event finishes up at Clacton Air Show with two days starting on August 22nd. For those interested in the Nintendo 3DS Festival of Fun, things kick off at Sunderland Air Show on July 27th and 28th, then move on to Nottingham Riverside Festival between August 2nd and 4th, and Williamson Square in Liverpool City Centre between August 22nd and 25th. This tour then wraps up at Bournemouth Air Festival, with four days of gaming between August 29th and September 1st.
